What’s Inside

More than a store.

Media Cavern is the kind of place you come into looking for one thing and lose an hour discovering everything else.

Records. Movies. Audio and video gear. Collectibles. Oddities. Clothing. A stage. A grand piano. And whatever showed up this week.

Come dig.

The shop floor mid-afternoon, customers browsing bins beneath a hand-lettered Media Cavern chalk sign.
A tall view taking in the CD bins, a vintage typewriter, the grand piano and the slatwall in one frame.

You really have to see it.

Photos don’t do it justice. But they’re a start.

Audio Video Equipment at Media Cavern

Built to be heard.

Media Cavern isn’t only about what you watch and listen to. It’s about what you watch and listen on.

Turntables, receivers, speakers, components, CRTs and players — gear with another life left in it.

Live at the Cavern

There’s a stage in the store.

Bands play here. Karaoke happens here. Record releases happen here. Meet-ups happen here.

And sometimes a trip to the Cavern turns into a show.

The piano

A mahogany grand piano, lid up, in the middle of Media Cavern.

It wasn't a retail strategy. It's there because this place was built by someone who loves the sound of things.

Ask first. Then play.

From the community

The story behind Media Cavern

Cameron sat down with SoCo Spotlight to talk about the road from CD Warehouse to Media Cavern, his life in music, and why he built a place unlike anything else in South County.

Interviewed by Reagan Dortch for SoCo Spotlight.

Cameron Novack seated in front of the store's DVD wall during a filmed interview, a clip-on mic at his collar.
